Yes, our car electrical systems are DC not AC... AC is found in our homes... and the title of the thread should read, "Do our cars run.... " not are....

DC AC is home stuff

 

A lot of home stuff runs on DC, too.

 

Cars run on DC, or Direct Current. House electrical systems are AC, or Alternating Current. Its funny though, car alternators actually produce AC but it is changed to DC via a series of diods and outputs DC, kinda cool.

 

I thought our cars ran on soda pop and syrup... Guess I'm Wrong
