Post Do 18s mess up your car?

I heard alot of bad things from a few people about 18s. They ruin the ride, they ruin the wheel bearings, they stress the tranny, they get bent easily, etc. Is this true? Should I get 17s instead?

Not true at all, none of my friends have problems with 18's, but its with 19's. 19's crack/bend easier, so I've heard.

I would imagine that brooklyn roads suck!! Does it?? If there are alot of potholes, stick with 17s... if not go 18s so atleat you can roll on 40 series tires... Houston roads are that bad here, so 19s it is!!! Well... someday....

Brooklyn roads suck bad! I'll think about it a little more. Are 18s really that big of a difference? (in looks I mean)

Any rim can bend...it all depends on how much rubber u have between the rim and ground that ultimately makes the difference..

TL looks better with 18's than 17's because the body is somewhat bigger than other cars. 18's is more proportal to the TL's body.
