Post ding dong.... I have some H&R springs for you

Hey. I just got me a set of H&R springs in the mail today. Very excited. For those with H&R springs (0.75F,0.5R), how low does it get after it settles and everything. And there is no long term effect on the shocks right? Please give me all pros/cons on it before i install them. thanks.

I got the H&R on my car. It does make look a lot better and the handling has a big improvement. My drop the car 1.5",1.75". Nice drop without the tires hiding under the fenders. The spring work pretty well with the factory shocks. If you do it your self or with a friend like I did. You may encounter some difficulty when working on the rear shocks. Plus you have to take the back seat out. It took us 5 hours to do the 4 wheels. Good luck on your installation.

CHOCO is probably talking about the OEM H&R that lowers the least of all H&R's. I have the same one. It lowered my car approximately by 1" overall. It lowers the rear a bit more tho.

Slvr TL, how's the rear camber on your TL after installing these springs? I just had them put on and was surprised, and pissed, to learn that my rear camber is off -0.8 degrees - bad enough that I'm thinking about installing a camber kit if I notice a lot of uneven wear. How many miles have you had the springs on and how are your tires?

the H&R springs are designed for the Accord. so they settle a bit lower for our heavier TLs than the manufacturer claims (correct me if I'm wrong). I think there have been some posts on this board with people having complications with H&R. I'm debating on what brand of spring to buy too.

Just go with Comptech! Comptech had the Acura line in mind. Just do a search on folks who has Comptechs and you will see that not one of them have any complaints. I just ordered mine and they are on the way. Can't wait. But just think how good it is to have a specific mod geared towards the TL. I'm out...this board is addictive...

Here is the picture of my car one week after installation.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the ride with the springs.

I've had approx 3K miles on my springs. No visible uneven tire wear is present on tires.

Hey SLVR TL, does your wheel gap difference look like mine, after taking into consideration of your tire difference?

Yeah, I've been meaning to post pix but I don't have a digi cam. How sad.

FYI, I'll post the pix under this thread. Since you got your pix here also.

Thats ok, I just got my camera only a few months ago. Also, can you PM me when you do just in case this thread gets lost and I don't see it? Thanks.

Also, I forgot to mention that I don't belive my camber is that off but that is just by visual inspection. I'll have it checked out after a few more weeks to make sure it has stopped settling.

PhiTL,
As promised...

Side view of my ride after the drop with H&R OEM springs... you can see the slight rake in which the front is a bit higher than the rear.

Another shot from rear angle.

Rear wheel section zoom up.

Slvr TL, thanks for posting pics. Yeah mine looks very similar to that. Now I can rest better knowing that I am not the only one that looks like that. Also, did you put them on yourself or a shop?
