Difference between 2001 and 2002 DVD Navi Unit?

Hi all:

Anyone know if there is a difference in the spec of 2001 and 2002 DVD Navi unit? I am asking because I recently made a copy of the 2.05 version navi disc, the disc played perfectly in my gf's 2001 CL-S, but when I put the disc in my car (2002 TL-S) my DVD unit have hard time recognizing it sometimes and when I try to find Acura dealer using the sort by distance function, it hangs the whole navi system. Only reason I can think of is that the 2002 DVD unit is actually a cheaper model and has weaker laser beams to pick up the data from a copied DVD. Anyone have similar experience?

so you made a DVD BACKUP. hint hint. dont call it a copy, ur get in trouble. say backup. well i think your problem might be solved by using a lighter coating dvd-r. or try and use a different brand which requires less strength from the laser.

anyways. good luck with your backup

btw... send me a backup!!!!!

Did you know in Canada you don't even have the option of getting Navi? They told me that too few people buy it to justify the expense.

Riiight... 'cause we can't track your IP or anything....

Anyway... making a backup for your use is OK.. talking about distributing or copying someone else's is a no-no.

Sorry...
