850EX, you work in downtown too. I was on the fifth floor and the swaying was not too bad. First thought sh*t hope nothing falls on the TL. I didn't buy earthquake insurane. That's extra coverage from ICBC right?

Man.. if you lived here in Cali, you probably wouldn't have noticed(you know, with all the little earthquakes and drive by shootings).. we had an earthquake this past weekend.. I was on the crapper.. didn't bother me a bit...

I think the areas that aren't ready for them will have more of a drastic effect.. I hope no one is seriously hurt though.. it can be scary to folks who have never been in one..

yeah, I guess they are calling it a 7.0 now. I felt it from my building at work, 2nd story. kinda felt like a free ride on a train...... swaying back and forth, and little bumpy too....

In an earthquake you are better off in a tall building that sway back and forth than a small building which would shake and crumble.

7.0 is very strong!! To put it in perspective.. the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in SF was a 7.1 on the scale!! and look what it did..

Here is some more info on the Washington Earthquake:

Oh yeah.. and I hope your TL's are ok.

Dude, buildings in Portland, Oregon were swaying for 30 seconds. Windows in buildings in Seattle were shattering! They felt the quake in Salt Lake City!

850EX, have some good news for ya. I just checked with ICBC they said if you have their comprehensive option your TL will be covered for earthquake damage. It also covers for riots and vandalism in case you ever go to Seattle.
