He's probably asking you how much you paid for it.

If you are selling (theorically) how much would it take for you to part with it?

If he's willing to pay a TLS for ya... sell him the car!!

Did you ask him why he asked you if you are selling the car?? You dont' have those "For Sale" sign on your car, do you??

No, I didn't have a for sale sign on the car.... I work with a car dealer..the car was parked next to the other cars in the lot...he musta thought we were selling it..

Yup, I second that. One unfortunate thing about our beloved hobby, is that the money and time you put into a car usually never comes back if you sell it. A very expensive hobby I'll never stop.

Are you thinking of getting something else or something, I find it real hard to sell a car especially if I spent a lot of time working on it.

Surely you have a price in mind.. for example would you sell it for $19,000? probably not. Would you sell it for $80,000 heck yea..(it'll not go for $80K) What about $60K, $50K, $40K, $35K...

How many productive hours did you put into the car? Use your $80/hour labor rate and what is your ASKING PRICE?
