Damn it. I was in a hurry this morning and I had to park my car on the side of the curb. I accidentally put my car in PARK while going approximately 5mph and I then heard a grinding noise. The engine was running at operating temperature already. The car still shifts and sounds okay after I drove it tonight. Do you guys think I did any damage to the transmission by doing that? Do you think the transmission fluid was able to prevent any damage that may have occured? Do you think I should change the transmission fluid just in case there are metal particles from the damage? My TL-P has 3400 miles. Thanks.

the grinding noise was probably just the parking pin. you should be ok but i wouldnt recomend doing it very often. i have done it on accident a couple times myself.

nah i dont think ur car is damaged... although i dont reccomend you doing that to a tl that has over 100k miles i did that to my car... tranny started laggin...

You should always have time for your car. Just becareful next time.

Sometimes happens with me.I always thought it was just the tranny locking up.
