Talking Did this happen to you?

I was wondering how many of you were ready to buy a V6Accord EX and realized the TL-P was only a bit more than that and decided to go for the TL.

Then you drove the S type and decided it is only couple grand more for that one and ended up with a TL-S.

This happened to my fiancée and I and we are really glad in our decision. It was going to be a V6 coupe all the way until I was at the Acura dealership with her dad looking at the MDX when I found out how much the TLP was going for.

Just curious of there were others in my scenario.

This happened to a buddy of mine when his parents got a i35 instead of a maxima.

A coworker of mine was shopping for a new 03' Camry after he decided to sell his 94' Camry. Like you he found that a 03' Avalon (base model but still 210hp) was just a little more $$. The Avalon isn't what I would call a barn-burner but it is one of the quietest running cars I've been in. Sure beats that four cylinder 'droning noise' from his 94'.

That is basically what happened to me 2 years ago. I was thinking about the accord coupe, but with the V6 and everything, it ended up being 25k+. Then I saw a TL for only a few more grand and considered it a much better deal. I got to the dealership and decided to go with the Type S for tad more again. I figured if I ever wanted to sell it I'd definitely get the difference back between the accord and TL.

My buying experience exactly. Back in Nov. 2002, I was faced with this decision:

2004 Accord EX V6 - $26,000.
2003 TL-P - $28,000
2003 TL-S - $30,000

Guess what I ended up with. Funny, how easy it is to spend a few $ more.
