no 00+ TL shift knobs will not fit a 99TL. They are different thread size.

Damn any other can confirm if the oo shift knob will fit in the 99?

hzm82 I'm sure your right. Is the 00 bigger or smaller. Does it come with a screw? That must be applied with a phillips or something?

Thanks everyone

In order to get the 00+ shift knobs to fit, you have to drill out the hole to make it bigger. You'll need a 3/8" in drill bit and you'll have to remake the threads. The easiest way to do that is to screw it onto the stalk. It's a lot of work to get it on. Here's a pic of my TypeS shift knob on my 99TL.

Thats too much work/trouble (atleast for me), TLNY just buy a 99TL wood knob (yes they make those). Its only worth the trouble if you want a TL-S knob or something that they dont' make for our 99TLs. The thread size is bigger on our car, I'm sure you got the idea from what NSXNEXT said.

NSXNEXT don't you still have your old wood shift knob to sell him?
