Dension and TL '03 not working

Hi peeps,

I was wondering if any of you installed a dension ice link plus in a '30 TL-S and had problems. I just installed mine, but it not working right. I cannot control the ipod thru my radio. I cant even get into the main dension menu. However, if i was playing a track before it was connected, the ipod would play that same song upon connection. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same results. It would go thru the normal boot when connected up until the playlist screen. There it would not let me change the playlist cause i cant select any choices from the radio. I'm getting fed with the tech support from dension also. 3 days now, they cant seem to solve my problem. Telling me they call back and never return my phone call. I'm about to ask for a freaking refund! Dension sux azz! That's how i feel about them right now.

I could not get the iceLink so I got the Neo Ion. Similar idea. I think that they run under similar software (iceLink does a lot more, I know). Are the dip switches set right? Is the plug metal or plastic? The Neo's with metal did not work right.

When I installed my unit the tech support told me to turn the radio off before installation. After installation, turn the key to the acc position with the radio OFF. Wait 3 minutes for the software in the Neo to initalize, then turn on the radio. It still takes about 6 seconds for my radio to recgonize the iPod and another 15 sec to completely connect. If you start pushing buttons it freezes the radio.

Part of my problem is that the unit is not compatiable with the Navigation system, but I make do. After a minute I can controll the track from the head unit.

This probably woln't apply to the iceLink, but it is worth a shot before you return it.

IceLink Problems

I'm having the same problems in my 2002 TL. I have found no solution and not gotten any help. Has anyone heard of any recalls or other physical problems with the units? Has anyone actually gotten Dension to replace their unit?
