Angry in deep need for help!!! URGENT 4 ME!!!

wassup to all the TLS family member out there. Ineed your help or at least one of you please. A while back I took my car in to get the headlights clear. The dude told me they do a good job. They do a good Job my a$$!!! It was the first time i washed my car after the clearing of the headlight and they fogged up BAD!!! i mean real bad. So bad one of my HID blew out. So what i am in search for is a new Hid for the left side if anyone has a pair an extra one or would like to help a TLS family member out. If they would carefully take out their light bulb and take it into the deal and told them that theirs blew out and give me their old ones. Or i will mail you my blown bulb, put it in your car and get it replace under warranty since i cant go in myself b/c my headlights are cleared. really really need this if anyone is willing to help. I knoth HID are expensive thats why I can offer it to replace it myself since i am only a student payin this car off myself. I am willing to pay$50 for this serivce. I kno its not alot but kind of short on cash. PLEASE PLEASE help me out here. Thanks

Hey Azn bud...I'd do it myself man but I drive the thing so much at night I couldn't do without it. Do yourself two favors...1) go back to them and ***** them the hell out 2) make them pay for your blown bulb.

For #1...take that puppy out and reseal it with silicone all around...and for #2, show them that they did a bad job...for proof take em to a car wash...or put the casing in a hot shower and show them it fogs up. That should be enough proof. Tell them you'll report them to the Better Business Bureau and post bad reviews of them all over the place including here. I suggest you do both of those ASAP.

Last but not least...I thought that HIDs weren't under warranty...the bulbs at least. I mean it's like brake pads...they don't warranty things like that...correct me if I'm wrong.

Still don't understand why you don't go b!tch out the people whose fault this is in the first place...that's hella easier than what you're proposing...

I'm all for helpin' a brother out, but man that's the risk you take when you modify the stock design. It flat out failed as a direct result of your mod. I don't think Honda/Acura should be duped into paying for something that ain't their fault. Suck it up and buy a new bulb, or ask the people who did the mod to buy you a new one. But unless you fix the problem, it's just gonna happen again.

I can't believe I just read this. Maybe people shouldn't drive a TL-S if they can't or don't want to pay for a HID bulb. It blew out as a direct result of the mod. Deal with it. It's like complaining about the premium gas requirement in a $30,000 car.

as u can see, many of us are students (im only in high school tho...) and TLers in university have hard time paying loans and ****...so u gotta understand... and HIDs are not halogen bulbs that u can buy from some auto store for 10$ per pair... they are very costly...

fellow azn tler, u should go back to the ppl who did the clearing for u... ask them to fix it...and also pay for the bulbs... its a fair thing to do, cuz they screwed them up...

VANDY786 that isn't cool man

Hey Vandy,

give the guy a break. you're pretty messed up. Just because some guys aren't as fortunate as yourself, you shouldn't be so cold about it. some people don't have the luxury of going to a private university and have my parents pay for everything. some people don't have the luxury of playing with stocks and lose money that they did not earn themselves. so i think i think you could give AZN G RYDE a little slack here. Don't you think so?

Well, let me clear up a few things. I did not mean to insult anyone. I know a thing or two about college.... I am 19 and I attend one (Junior @ VU). As someone mentioned, I am indeed very fortunate because I go to a private university and I don't have to see most of the bills. But you know why? Not because my parents pay for it; but because I worked hard for a scholarship here. The only thing my parents paid for is 2/3 of the TL-S, and I paid the rest by electing to living off campus and saving a lot of money from room and board.

Now, about the stocks. Yes, I did lose a lot of money. A lot compared to what I began with. But I know you'll be disappointed to hear that all of it was my money that I earned. Almost 90% of my savings were in stocks and I took the hit.

And then you call me messed up. But you know what else is messed up? With the exception of lilboykorea's post, all the posts to my response were not worth reading. Every sentence in Kimeh's post was stupid and wrong (read above 2 paragraphs).

To AZN G RIDE
Read JBROWN'S Post. That's exactly what I'd do. I didn't mean to diss foos like you. My point was simply that if you drive a TL-S and a HID goes out, don't complain about it. This is the wackiest post I have ever seen on this forum in the short time I have been here. Maybe you shouldn't have bought something that is too much of a burden for you to take care of. It has nothing to do with how rich you are, only to do with how much you can handle.

AZN G RYDE, Dude chill. We all understand your upset about your light. I would be pissed too. BUT... you did decide to clear your lights. The light blew out b/c it wasnt properly done by the shop. but its still your fault b/c you chose to do it.
I would go to the shop with the BLOWN OUT HID! That way you have proof the bulb blew out. let us know what happens ok.

Yea, don't buy or go through the trouble of getting a new bulb first. Try to get the shop to fix your headlight and buy you a bulb. The light blew out because they did a poor job.

Lightbulb

Damn guys, relax and focus on typing your posts in english.....

I agree with everyone above, go back to the place that did the headlights and have them get a replacement for you. If they messed up the job, then they are responsible for the damage. I think it's a lot to ask to have someone from the board to try to get their working bulb passed as a replacement or even to ship yours and have them go to a dealer to get a new one. I would pursue it with the shop, and also let everyone in your area know not to go to them.....

All your HID are belong to us!

AZN G RYDE--I feel your pain; however--notwithstanding the sympathy of some of the other people here, IMHO your request makes no logistical sense. You're better off going directly to the shop who messed up your bulb and have them replace it, or buy a new bulb and have them reimburse you. It does sound a bit silly to go through all the trouble to have someone put your burnt bulb in their vehicle and then have the dealer replace it under warranty; in the least, what you're asking them to do is borderline fraud. And you're willing to pay someone $50 to do that? Why compound a problem that someone else caused by having to spend more money to get it fixed?

Like I said, asking someone to swap your bulb out makes very little sense; what if it was your car stereo? Would you do the same and ask someone to put your busted deck into their car so that you can get it replaced under warranty?

sux about your HID dude. go back to the shop and demand that they fix it...

as far as you asking someone on this board to steal for you...that's just wrong....regardless of how much money you have/don't have.

peace

It all depends on how tight you are with them I suppose. I'd probably do it (if you were in the bay area), but dang, I just dont have the time. By the time I get out of work (7-7:30pm) the dealers are all closed cuz it takes me around an hour to get home.

Thanks for putting it in perspective, Vandy 786. I bought this car instead of a BMW M3 or Audi S4 because I could comfortably afford it myself. I am 25, working full-time, and going to school part-time since my parents could not afford to pay for my school and my lazy @ss didn't try hard enough for a scholarship.

AZN, regardless of how much money you make or not, the fact is that it is plain dishonest to try to get Acura to cover a part under warranty that got fvcked up because you had some hack shop butcher your headlights.
