This is the DECODER with video input and ouput. The switch can be mounted on the dash to switch between video and the navi!

Audio is a seperate issue. If you have the stock head unit, you will need an RF modulator (which I do carry by the way). SteveSTMS is selling these units for $180 plus shipping (bout $10) I believe. And it is sweet, isn't it! Can't wait to get mine!
damn, that looks AWESOME!

I noticed that it says "Honda Navigation System" What car was this done on? I forget if ours say Honda or Acura, but I thought it was Acura.
Just Curious.

Thanks for complements everyone! It's even been approved by my wife as "impressive and easy to use" - does that mean I get the 'good house keeping stamp of approval?.
Now to answers more questions:
Thaitea asked about Audio. StreetEffectZ gave you the best answer - use an RF modulator. I would also like to add that it really depends on what your using for video/audio source. For example, if your using a portable DVD player or game system in the car a 'CD stereo cassette adapter' could work for you without having to hook-up anything. There are probably a dozen different ways to 'skin this cat'. Best to work with someone who knows what they are doing, like StreetEffectz.
Stylin Silver Sled asked if this would work with 99 non-dvd navigation.
Answer: I've been told the monitor wires are the same for both 1999 and 2000 model DVD and non-DVD display screens. My schematics confirm this. If it doesn't work, just let me know and I'll refund your money when you return the unit. Honesty is good business!
carcaze asked if it's simple to install.
Answer: It's very easy to install. I'll include directions and all you need to do is match up the 4 wire colors with those on the back of the navigation display unit. [This will be shown in the instructions] Cut/stip these wires and then crimp on 8 wire connectors (provided at the ends of the each cable). Squeeze on 3 wire connectors (provided) for Power, ground and parking break lead.
PhiTL asked "What car was this done on?"
Yes, it was done on my wife's 2000 Honda Odyssey van (the only Honda offered with navigation system). I've cross referenced the Acura service guide and the navigation display units are the same (except for the label on the front).
Holms85 wrote "Instead of buying another dvd player etc, would this be able to hook up to a laptop with a dvd drive? just wonderin just to save some $$$".
Answer: Some laptops have composite video output (Yellow RCA type plug), so these would work. Maybe a later version I could be working on will have VGA input. Although that would be years away at this rate!
thaitea asked: How much is it? What about audio output?
Answer: $180 + shipping (about $10 and that would be a maximum 2 day service). Order by sending me a email with your shipping address. Limited first production, so order soon. Payment due (Paypal preferred, other arrangements can be made) just before shipping).

Yo Ron, how much does it cost to get it done? I have a 99 TL with Navi. BTW, we talked a few weeks back about the molded bumper and I am still interested. Let me know when your's is done so I can see it. Thanks bro.
PhiTL, our Navi does say Acura on it, if I remember correctly.
