I went to the Acura dealership in Austin, TX and I was checking out their cars on the showroom floor. There was this Tafetta white TL with body kit, comptech exhaust, comptech headers already installed. Guess how much they were charging for the "Comptech Sports Package?"
$3996. Yes, $3996. I couldn't believe the highway robbery that was going on there. AFter I noticed that, I talked to a salesman and told him about that and the actual cost of the headers and exhaust. He had this oh well look on his face. Gotta love that from a salesman. I then asked him if he could take me on a ride, but he said they wouldn't. Moron.
Anyway, I really wanted to take that car and remove those parts and put them on a more deserving car, like mine!!!

Dealers being selfish and greedy is a universal constant. It will never change. Your only defense is for you yourself to be knowledgable so that you know what is going on and can protect yourself.

what would the warranty be for those items. the same 4/? ( i forget the milage part) that come standard on a new tl?

Acura has the standard 4 year/ 50k warrenty.

 

as of right now, i cant complain about my dealer they have been excellent so far. I deal with park ave acura in maywood, nj. My friend recently bought a TL for $26,5 and the service there has always been top notch. I wish you guys could be as lucky as me with such a great dealer within 5 miles of my house. I feel that some of you guys should be more open minded about dealers, just because your dealer is not satisfying you it doesnt mean that every dealer is selfish. Of course they are in business to make money just like everyone else but not every dealer is out to rape you. I have been servicing my car at this dealer for a few years and dealt with their sales dept and i personally couldnt be more satisfied
