I think people feel good when they win because both. Because we like to be the best and we like to see other people suffer.

My definition of win is having pulled at least a quarter panel in length and held it. But its not really a race if you don't break triple digits (mph)

Reminds me of a Far Side cartoon labeled "Personality Types" or something like that, with a halfway-filled glass of water on a table. The first woman is happy and says the glass is half full. The second guy is dejected and says it's half empty. The third guy is pissed off and says, "Hey! This isn't what I ordered!"
