Dealer installed tranny at 75,000?

I bought my 2000 TL used. At around 75,000 mi (2007) i had a new tranny installed by the dealer (under extended warranty). With it being so long after they figured out the 99-03 tranny's were garbage, did they fix the problem on the replacements? Or, did i just get another piece of junk??

I think they are now installing the newer 4 Shaft design so you can pretty much forgot about the issue, Just dont think the trans dont need maintenance..

EDIT: Link dont send you Correctly here is a Quote:

""07 Tranny is a 4 shaft design""
""I just checked with my local dealership where they confirmed that the 07 Ody has moved from a 3 shaft design to a 4 shaft design. They said it was a different transmission than the Ridgeline but the design was based on the Ridgeline. This is line with vtec.net's comments:

Odyssey The best minivan available in America carries forth with few expected changes. We'd still like to see a revamp of the feature matrix, but the Odyssey is selling quite well so we're not expecting much in that regard. The one thing we have uncovered is that the Odyssey will benefit mechanically from something that will be transparent to the end user for the most part. We've learned that for 2007 the Odyssey's transmission will be upgraded from its current 3-shaft design to a beefier 4-shaft design. The 4-shaft design is based upon the Ridgeline's tranmission and should once and for all put to rest any concerns about Honda's V6 automatic transmissions.""

Transmissions replaced after March 2005 usually don't fail again or have the same problems as before, but I'm sure there are always exceptions.

I'd say you're probably good, but keep a sharp eye on your transmission fluid. It is good practice to do a 3x3 fluid change every 30,000 miles. If you have dark fluid, you should change it. If it smells burnt, you more than likely have a torque converter that is over heating.

I finished a 3x3 fluid change on my 2000 TL today. It has 201,700 miles and the fluid was almost black, but the transmission felt perfect. I changed it anyway and I've noticed an improvement in shift quality. After the 3x3, the fluid isn't perfectly red, and in all honesty I could probably change 3 more quarts, but because its clean and fresh, I'm going to leave it be.

the original transmission in my car last just over 99,000 miles the second one replaced after 2005 didn't even make it to 90,000 miles and I changed the fluid every 30k miles with both. Now I have switched to the 07 av6 transmission and do a 1x3 change every 10k miles and a 3x3 every 30k miles
