De-Badging the TL-S......Voluntaritly!
Anyone take the TL-S badge (or more) off of their tail? Did you do it for effect, or to get the emblems before someone else did?

I de-badged the whole rear except the "A", which would have left two holes into the trunk. I know I have promised pics but I have a friend visiting this weekend who I am sure can post them.
I don't care if anyone knows I am driving a Type-S. All they need to know is that are flooring it and I am still zipping by!

you see on your pic of the rear-end of your TL-S where the exhaust pipes under the car are rusting -- I sanded that down and painted it gloss black (engine paint) -- it looks kick ass now -- i bet yours would look just as good if you did that -- it's hardly a ten minute job and the can of spray paint only cost me $6.00.
Just a thought.

I have a feeling that if i ever want to sell this car privately, the buyer will want it on. But thanks for the offer.

They also give u a warranty on it, so if something goes wrong, they'll replace it no questions asked. But i've never seen anyone come back with a problem. (I should be getting paid for plugging them like this.)

As someone who has lost a 1/2 dozen VTEC and GS-R tags from my car. That is the first thing I am taking off. Its not that I care much about the cost of replacing them, thats minor. Its the fact that half the punks botch the job and scratch the paint. Now that ticks me off. I have spent the last few years w/o a problem, mostly because there no badges on my car now.
just my $0.02
just my $0.02

I painted mine nearly two weeks ago w/ the high-heat engine paint -- and so far so good. I've been through rain and rough roads w/ it, and not only does it retain its gloss very well, it looks OEM so as not to indicated a $6 paint job.

How DO you get them off without scratching the paint? Inquiring minds want to know...

Heat gun and Dental floss (no not a thong)
Heat it up, run the floss behind the badge. And poof it falls off.
At least that is the way it came off the GS-R.
BTW: I used an industrial heat gun, but a hair dryer should work.

Forget all that, on a warm sunny day just pull the emblem; it will come off no problem. I just removed the 3.2 part of the rear tags so now my car just reads TL Type-S in the uipper corner. I just pulled at it and it came off real easy
