dc headers
Trending Topics
I have 2-bolt DC headers on my 2002 TLS and it has been working great. Being in California, I have passed smog test twice so far without any issue. The headers have been holding up. The gain was noticeable but not sure how much since I have not done any dyno myself.
They $120 ebay headers are junk. They have fitment issues.
yeah just did some research xsp headers are junk they dont fit right they make noises dc and comptech are the way to go YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and i got good quality headers on the way so im happy with dc and paying $363 for them
i know lol thats why i got dc headers. but i was trying to tell them alot of eaby headers are no good you know think about it.. 120 dollars headers or 363 dollars that are dyno proven to make HP you know lol. but thanks for the heads up on the flex pipe i will let my friends no about that
My SS headers i got for 100 bucks new are still going strong. Well over 100k on them. No leaks, no cracks. I wouldnt call them junk!!!!!!
Before you go calling every ones elses headers JUNK, I have seen the DC headers fall apart on more than a few members. I replaced a set on a members that had resonated, had cracks, leaked and could never get the flanges to seal properly.

I'll be taking this plunge soon myself, and going with DC for the quality/price-point. I have noticed there are two kinds of DC headers available. One style is the same as other brands of headers, and includes the down pipe. The other style (here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DC-SP...Q5fAccessories ) is obviously very different, and does not come with a down pipe; I assume stock down pipes will work. Does anyone have experience with the second type? They are the same price, but no down pipe, so what gives? Frankly, I don't see how those fit with that strange configuration.
not sure how else i was supposed to install them. i had a lot of trouble getting the upper part to mate up with the downpipe even when i had all bolts loose so there's definitely some stress on the whole system. i think i just got a bad set. the flange itself wasn't even flat where it mates up to the block. oh well they lasted almost 3 years as is but i'd rather go with a brand like dc than obx this time

I've had the same set of DC Sports headers with the 2-bolt collector flanges in my 2003 TL-S since late 2006 and they've held up as well. There were some leaky gasket issues at first, but I worked with DC Sports and the installer and have no leaks for 3 1/2 years now. DC Sports gave me $100 for all my trouble since I had to go the installer three times to try the different gaskets that they sent me, even though I wasn't charged extra by the installer.
