My 2000 TL-P is a Canadian Vehicle with DRL's from the factory.
I can't figure out how to upgrade them, & work as they should.
I've tried everything in my knowledge, & picked brain of people from the stores.
LUMILEDS kits,HID kits with relays, resistors, decoders, you name it I tried it.
High beams always work, but the DRL's never did, or flickered.

What do you guys use to get the DRL's to match the color input/discharge of the low beams, & still have high beams be functional?
I don't want to use SMD's cause they're only 1 stage lights, I need 2 stage.

Also, I've seen pic of 2nd gen's with the whole housing illuminated, now let me hear some solutions.

The DRL is basically a high beam but is fed with much reduced battery power.

It is possible that in the reduced power DRL mode, the low voltage feeding the headlight circuit is not sufficiently high enough to power up the aftermarket lighting kit properly.

 

That was my thought initially, I was told a relay would do the trick, & it didn't.
Is there any way around this?
DRL are mandatory in my city apparently. (Didn't know this until last week lol)

 

Your DRL Control Unit is probably defective.

 

My DRL'S work fine tho?
It's the color/appearance that bug me. The halogens I tried just don't cut it for me.
Have you used these bulbs, & do they match up with the OEM low beams?

I've never use them but seen them on older non-HID rice cars and they do look blue. They should match your HID color, you just need to buy the correct color tempurature. They come in 4k-5k.

 

Not looking for blue light, more so bright white. I was thinking my low beam were closer to 5K-6k.

 

OEM HID is 4300k.
