It is the day changing trandy......

hi everyone?
Today...
I'm gona go to Acura dealer to change my Transmission and every mount.
I have some problem on my transmission but it is not serious.
The problem is kind of clunk?
When I move the shift bar, the kind of clunking happen.
I complained a lot. but they denied at first. but eventually they recognized the problem. Becuase I complained a lot and compared any other car in that Acura dealer.
Anyway ....
my 2002 Acura TL' mileage is about 47600. so I have checked everyday.
something wrong is engine noise.............
...but might the Acura dealer change my whole engine???/???
the noise is ......sometime happen but sometime does not happen..
that's the problem for me....
whenever I went to Acura dealer, the noise did not happen....
anyway ...today........
I can change my whole trandy....so I am kind of happy......
because my trandy does not have a serious problem..... just clunking.........
after changing trandy, let me explain about new transmission feeling and let me change tires and rims with 18"
Have a nice day you guys....
Thanks........

Guys, I think he's using a translator program. Give him a break

Then again, maybe he isn't.

From what I understand he brought his Acura to the dealership today because of a clunking sound when he shifts (probably from R to P). He is concerned that the clunk might be the engine or the transmission, and is wondering if the engine will need to be replaced as well as the tranny. The Acura dealership couldn't replicate the problem, but he is getting a new tranny (?) and he will let us know how he likes it. He is also getting new 18'' rims.

That is the translation from what I could understand. I'm still

Ok here we go. I speak jibberish...

1 - He's getting the clunk when he puts the car in gear (probably the reverse gear clunk everyone complains about)
2 - They are replacing his tranny.
3 - Sounds like they might be changing motor mounts as well.
4 - He's wondering if he has an engine problem and if Acura will replace it. I have no clue
5 - He is planning to put 18s on his car

That was the funniest thing I've heard in a while!

Anyway, I guess he's getting a new transmission and is happy about it. Good day.

Sorry man..I am not an Amrican who can express own thinking well.
But this site is very useful for me.......
I changed my transmission and all mounts. today.
but the sound is a little bit wired than before.
I am not sure that it is correct or not.
But engine sound is getting better..like removing high tone.
is there anybody who replace the transmission? and could you tell me the sound difference between after and before?
Thanks.......

Can you explain exactly what the new "wierder" sound sounds like? there should really be no sound difference after the tranny has been changed unless there was a winding noise before, it should be quiet after. Shifts should be quicker and smoother.

Hey~!! 55M2G7L!! you are absolutely right!!
What I heard before from engine room was higher tone.
but after I changed transsmission, the noise from engine room is smoother and lower.
"lower" means I think the sound of high tone is eliminated. That is why the sound of my TL is better and smoother I think.
But I am not sure it is normal? or not.....
did you feel this like me as I wrote like this?

Thanks...^^:;

Man, I wish a member in your area could listen to your engine, because I am puzzled by this noise issue.
