Dashboard tape
Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody knows where I can get the anti-squeek tape the you apply where the dash pieces touch, ie. between the radio/ac, cup holder/console, shifter/cup holder?
to clarify, its a tape the is sticky on one side and an extremely thin layer of a phelt or velvet material on the other...
thanks in advance

ehh, well i was talkin about where the dash pieces meet (like ac to radio, cup holder to console, the console lids, trim pieces). Its that annoying plastic on plastic squeek that is going to drive me completely insane.
also, about the foam tape at walmart, that stuff is WAY to thick. the tape im talkin about is probably a mm. thick. Its like, a piece of velvet or something of the like with a sticky side.

Here's a link to a supplier of adhesive backed foam material. Used in film camera repair. Should work for your application:

black trim for what? the instrument panel or...? either way, everything is secured with clips and a couple philips screws, nothing should be too terribly heard to get out. Having a friend to help manuver the larger items might be helpful though
