welcome to the club...sorry, but these cars are built in Ohio...enough said...the only solution i can give is for you to turn up your radio so you won't hear the noises.

If you have had the clock bulb replaced or any other repair work involving taking apart the dash, it will eventually develop rattles.

yeah i hear a lot of people have these problems.. even though it's a 99 premium (no type-s back then) they still have a stiff suspension when compared to an infiniti, lexus, etc. i did have the dash taken apart to fix my airbag, and i heard it was a b***h to put back together.. but does this mean there's no fix at all? the knocking in the dash is VERY loud and the creaking during acceleration is quite bad too.. rattling i can live with.. any ideas???

If you think you can get at any of the creaks, hose them down with white lithium grease. Otherwise you'll just have to deal.

yeah i was actually told that white lithium grease can help.. it helped a little for the light rattles, but i still can't get at the knocking or the acceleration creaking.. and yeah, our cars are manufactured in ohio guys

I just find this to be retarded, why should cars like this even have this problem. Granted I love the car and wouldnt ditch the car cuz of the creaks but these are problems I expect to have in a Hyndai, Suzuki or Kia...not a 30k Acura??!!?? Am I wrong?

yeah seriously.. i mean, it's no garbage car.. this is a luxury car, and although it is sporty, it shouldn't sound like this with under 100,000 miles.. these cars are known for quality, and although the car runs great and can handle, i need to turn the radio up so i don't hear the dash crackin all over the place?!

I've already had a new dash due to bubbling. Now it is starting to creak. I seemed to narrow it down to the defroster vent near the base of the windshield. Will be taking the car in this week, because it is driving me crazy!!!!

Also have a creak behind the driver that I haven't identified yet.

To offer a bang for the buck car for around $30K, guess Acura, had to cut corners somewhere, like build it in Ohio, cheap interior materials, i.e leather and plastic and average domestic build quality.. rattles and creaks.....

hey Plano TLS, is that where the creaking is coming from you think? that's one of the most irritating things is when that creak comes when i accelerate.. is that where it creaked for you, in the defroster?.. i've heard of this before.. a family member of mine is a mechanic, so if that's it, i'm sure he can get in there and get rid of that irritating ****.. thanks
