the light never came on when the bulb was out.. it only came on after i replaced with a new bulb from local acura parts dept. There is no way to connect the bulb wrong, right?

The dash brake light indicates that you may be low on brake fluid. Check your fluid level and top off as required. Also, remove the resovoir cover and make sure the plunger switch is not stuck.

The same thing happen to me with my TL over a year ago.
One of the taillight bulbs went out in the car & I got no dash indicator light at that time. Anyway I went to the ACURA DEALER to get the bulbs since I was out in that area at the time. Since I was going to replace one tail light bulb I said to myself I should replace them all at that time.
This was tail, brake & tag light bulbs also. When I went to check the connection to see if everything was working okay that when I got the dash indicator light. I could not get the thing to go out at the time after I checked everything. I took the car back to ACURA & the service advisor took a look at the car & got a new bulb to put it in. This I thought would take care of the problem I was about 15mins from the dealer on the way home the dash light came back on again. I had an oil change at the dealership the next week so I took the car back then for this problem. They told me the buld needs to be pushed in all the way. I do remember at the time I posted this topic some others had the same problem. I could not find it in the search option.
