Damn those 330CI's!
Damn those 330CI's!
So I started work at 7am today....at 9am I realized I forgot something at home so I rushed home was ther for 15 mins or so and I was flying back to work, well once I got onto I-95 from I-93 everyone was driving the same frickin' speed in all the lanes. I was in the 2nd to fast lane stuck behind someone who I thought was accelerating (i was hoping to pass the person in the fast lane by following the person accelerating in the 2nd to fast lane) so low and behold which happens more often then not the person in the car(lexus) decides to brake so the initial car I was attempting to pass that was in the fast lane start edging ahead of the car I was behind, so I put my indicator on to get in the fast lane and of course this nerdy looking guy in a BMW 330 CI gets in that spot, I had to swerve slightly to the right to avoid a collision. Eventually the carrolla or whatever it was that was in front of him moves to infront of the lexus that's in front of me in the slower lane and the BMW starts accelerating fast, so I get behind him just as he hits his pedal I am guessing, and it's on. We were swerving from the fast lane all the way to the right lane and back again(stupid...yes, reckless....yes, dangerous to others on the road....yes, EXHILIRATING FUN...
...OH YES!), I guess it wasn't as much a race as it was follow the leader, the distance he had on me was just the distance he had from the begining getting into a clearing before me. I am sure if the race were on a straight road with no traffic he would probably have beaten me hands down, but I think just a little bit of my driving skill, knowing when to accelerate and when not to accelerate when driving through traffic helped me in sustaining the same distance between the cars.
Boy was it fun flying down that road doing about 110-115.

"you shouldn't be doing that on the roads with............bla bla bla"
Nice "race", bet you can't wait to get thoes "not installed yet's" on your TL and do it again.. The lowering helps sooooooo much on the turns, not as much as sways but still a dramatic difference between the lowered TL's launch time and the stock TLs launch time, you don't feel the "slight tilt" backwards before the go just the "go!"

Looks like your Mugen lip spoiler helped a lot. It's been wind tunnel-tested to provide optimal amount of downforce at speeds above 80 mph and free up as much as 35 horsepower!
Sounds like a fun time, but don't do that again in traffic. I'm a crazy mofo and don't do that in traffic.

yikes! Glad my family wasn't on the freeway when you were having your "fun"....Better yet, I wish I was there driving my old beater, so I could lock down all 4 wheels right in front of you......Not that I would really do such a thing, but the point being a lotta folks take it upon themselves to slow you down. Wouldn't want anything to happen to a fellow TLer. Have your fun on a more deserted road.
