i live in japan and have a '99 tl (saber model - 3.2v). there's a damn clicking sound coming (i think) from the driver's side (passenger side for you US folks). it seems to pop up when i brake at slow speeds. i think it also happens when i accelerate. at any rate, i'm positive the clicking noise occurs only at low speeds. i think it's sourced somewhere near the brake/accelerator pedals but i'm not 100% sure.

anyone else have this problem?

 

HELLZ YEAH!!!! NOT JUST THE CLICKIN SOUND... I EVEN HAVE A WHOLE BUNCH OF RATTLES!!!

 

Is it coming from the outsideor inside of the car. If its the outside check your brake pads, or there could be a pebble stuck in one of the tires. Also i once had a loose exhaust bolt that made a ticking sound, the dealer found it and fixed it and it went away. If its on the inside, then i dont know.

 

I had a clicking sound I could not pin point that sounded like it came from everywhere. Whenever I would sit somewhere I thought it came from, then it would sound like it was somwhere else. It turns out it was a cable touching something in the roof liner ceiling. My dealer found it and it was an easy fix but it took a long time to find it.

The sound would happen when the car's suspension would dip or tilt slightly and then level out again.

 

I did have a similar problem, but it was quickly fixed. The problem is in the door. The place were the door clicks with the car's body is where the sound is coming from. What I did was....I lubricated the thing that keeps the door closed to the rest of the car's body.
