If you are planning to take the diffuser off of the headlights, the beam pattern will get ****ed up. One member did it to his TL and he is regretting it. If you are not taking off the diffuser then disregard what I said before.

BTW, what customizing are you doing to your headlights?

When you are done post some pix!

Hey 3.2TL, I think you should wait about taking out the diffuser. Talk to the member who took his off first and then decide if you still want it. I believed he wanted to put his diffuser back on. I don't want you to make the same mistake so ask around first.

BTW, can you post a pic or a link of your WW kit from all angles because I am deciding which kit to get (WW, OEM, etc...). And how much was your WW kit? Thanks bro.

I cleared out my headlights and removed the lens. I personally like the look of the headlights. But your right it does mess up the beam, projects like a W beam.

Like someone said, the beam pattern gets f'ed up. It looks cool but if you can't see at nite, then you're doomed. If you don't drive at night... go for it.

Whay would you remove the diffuser?!? Some engineering group probably spent a lot of time designing those things so that we can see better!

This reminds me of the guy that wanted to remove one of the tail pipes so that he would only have one, thus defeating some nice (and expensive) engineering that makes the car better than most...

Gee, while you're at it you could also remove the windshield wipers, shave off the jacking points, install a mast antenna and scrape the painted one off, change the HIDs to halogens and modify the engine to run on diesl instead of gas.

good point, I've already decided to leave the diffuser in. It is meant to spread out the light evenly across the path. haven't tested my theory, (being that my car is still inthe shop), but I think that's what it does. besides, the diffuser would make the blue/purple/white ??? lights (soon to be)inside look better

hmm i see your point i tried it out on my other car, it was heading to the scrap as soon as my brother buys a car so i did it.. anyways the beam is super narrow so if you're driving at night without streetlamps than it looks like youve got tunnel vision or sumthing, very dangerous

btw no one answered my other question, are the inspire taillights easy enough to instal so i can do it myself?

The taillights are very easy to install, so go for it. The screws you have to undo are very obvious. good luck

Hiroki,
you have to remove the cargo net screw, then some of the plastic walls behind the tail lights then you can access the screws. be careful not to drop the nuts or bolts down between the wall, it's a pain to retrieve!!! good luck.

Easy to install, it's just that the Blinker plug is to small for the Inspire Tail plug, I just put some double sided tape from 3M(made a cut out of the blinker plug) and it fits snug now, It takes about 30 mins. At first I was like "man that's some $$$$ for tail lights but I don't regret it. It just changes the looks of the whole car(from the rear) and I don't think anyone has them in Hawaii

Don't be so quick to judge.

The dual exhaust we have is non-functional. It would be just as high flow if it were a single. The piping is 2.25" which is good enough power recommended to around 270-300 hp.

It is dual for aesthetics only. And even then, not everyone agrees that dual exhausts look better. It is my opinion that a Single exhaust is sportier. Hence IS300, BMW 330, Supra, Skyline... And the more luxury rides have duals, GS400, LS400.

I agree with the diffuser argument. The diffuser actually has a purpose. To evenly distribute light. But the 2nd exhaust does not, other than to give the car a more luxury appearance. As you can imagine, with the crowd we have here (performance enthusiasts) some of us are looking for a more sport oriented vehicle, or at least a greater flavor of sport from our car.

It would not supposedly 'defeat engineering that makes our car better than most'. Hell adding a kit makes our car scrape on driveways, thus giving it decidedly INFERIOR ground clearance to nearly every other car on the road. Why would any moron pay $800-$1000 for inferior ground clearance.

The argument holds for any number of modifications.

Hey, sorry it took so long to respond. I totally overlooked your post. Anyway, I have had no problems with fogging of the headlights and it's been 6-7 months with tons of rain and washes. Just make sure you seal up your lights up good. Before for reseal the headlights, heat up the factory glue and then tie/clamp the pieces together. This should form a decent seal as is. But to be safe, after the lights cool, add an addition bead of silicon around the edges making sure there are NO gaps.
