Customized My TL-S Badge! PICS

The bottom part of my '2' on my 3.2 TLS badge broke off. I"m assuming from washing my car. So i carefully took off the whole badge and with a little careful razor blade work I chopped the 3.2 off and put on new DB tape and voila! What do you guys think?

Very nice, I think. I prefer not to have 3.2 on it.

Looks almost like mine (except w/ Type-S badge). My first pic will give you a good idea of how it will look like w/o the A C U R A.

I think i might take the ACURA off as well. How did you guys take your letters off the easiest. my 3.2 part just pulled off because it was loose anyway. but is there an easy way to take off the letters with minimal residual sticky sh*t?

I think a lot of people use a hair dryer to heat the adhesive and then use goo gone or a similar product to remove the excess.

Hair dryer, heat gun, or hot water poured out of a pitcher behind the letters. Be careful with the heat gun and the hair dryer if you have Rockblocker on, though. I learned out the hard way and started melting the film. Caught it before it got too bad, but still kinda messed it up.

I have...but I keep going back and forth about it. I'm afraid to cut it off and not like it then have to spend another 50 bucks to get the tail lights done again.

Heat the letters up with a heat gun, or leave it in the sun for a while. Take a piece of floss and carefully floss behind the letters and it will cut right through the adhesive. Then just use some Goo Gone to remove the excess adhesive. Rub in some polishing compound to remove any other marks in the area.

Is there any type of adheasive that would work better then tape when re- attaching a badge?

^ I thought about throwing the 07 type S badge on...I think it looks slick. I dunno about spending 30 bucks on one though...how much did you pay for that one?

Uhhh .... but it's shaped like a "V"? Maybe you're one of those "creative" types; Me, I'm not feelin' it - as an "H" or a "V".

Now if you turned all the A C U R A letters upside down, that'd be creative.

It is slightly smaller, and on my debadged trunk it looks out of place, the small one that is.
