Custom lower grill
This is just to guage interest, but there is a guy over on a-cl.com that is making custom grills for the CLs and they look pretty cool.
Here is the thread (replace the ***** with acura)
http://www.*****-cl.com/forums/showt...5&pagenumber=2
Anyway, he's thinking about trying to make a custom one for our lower grills. I was looking for one anyway, and his look to be pretty high quality, so if there's enough interest, he'll probably make them. Just thought you all might want to know.

i'm working with austin519 over the A C U R A W OR L D . C O M for a possible groupbuy for this grille. however, to make it happen, the company need a test car for measurement. so, if anyone in the lynchburg, va area, pls pm me asap.
hey, I'm the guy doin the custom grilles group order over in A-CL.com, been doin this since like january, I've made over 60 grilles for over 40 members on the board. But so far it's been only for the 2gen CL. I'm now working on the template for the lower grille for the TL.
What I'm gonna do it not do a group order just yet, but instead I'm gonna make one prototype grille and give it up for $60 shipped to any first taker, but I want you to do is install it neatly and take some pictures, you'll be my demo car. Doing this for the TL is kinda hard for me cuz I don't have one to play around with unlike the CL. I got the grilles form Grilletech, they make excellent grilles, 1/8" thick stainless steel material, unlike those gutter guard chicken wire ones from home depot. They're painted either black or silver, come in race or diamond style. When the custom grille is in production, the price would be $85 shipped to all US domestic states.
Here's the original group order thread in A-CL

If you have any questions please email me at samconnect@hotmail.com, specify TL grille in the subject.
Thanks,
Sam

u know what, grille-tech is actually the company that i'm dealing with. however, i would assume that the price would be under $60 (or maybe even cheaper if austin can work out a groupbuy deal with them) & that's what its retail prices. but again, first of all, we need to get them a test car for measurement. so pls pls pls let me know if u're in lynchburg, va area.
Here's why my price is a little steep:
Got the original grill material from GrilleTech, bring them to a bodyshop to get them cut using a diamond blade (labor costs almost as much as the grill itself), then I triple coat them with anti-rust clear paint, and satin finish them. Let them dry nicely then ship them out securely.
