What do you mean bigger? Larger diameter piping? If so it's really a waste. The air will flow through the area of least resistance.

Ex. If the intake piping is 4", when it hits the 3" diameter throttle body, it will have to slow the flow.

Since I'm still running the 99TL intake manifold, it's not going to make much more hp than if I had a TLP throttle body and TLP CAI.

TypeS intake manifold is going to be test fitted this weekend.

Well it needs to match the port opening of the TB. If not, you might as well not even bother installing the TypeS TB. But given that, if he hasn't bothere to port match the IM it's not going to give him much, if any gains.

even if you dont have the type-s TB but you have an intake made for the type-s.....cant you just take the intake to meineke and have them reduce the tip to match the TLP TB and leave the rest of the intake at 3"???

that's what the V2 is. It starts at 2.75" then goes to 3" closer to the filter. I would think you'd need to experiment with where you go from 2.75" to 3".

As it should be. The tl-p intake is 2.75 and the type-s is 3

You can order online or go to your local parts stores and get a silicone reducer to make things alot easier

I just put my AEM CAI on two days ago, but I'm running it as an SRI until I get a bypass valve. The whistle sound is kinda annoying, but not really that bad. VTEC roars though! Anyhow to the OP, that's some nice custom work.
I have question though...I didn't use the vibra mount for the top mount cos I didn't know what that electronic box was, yours is removed entirely? Where did it go and what does it do? Sorry for the noob question.

Not sure I'm following. Are you talking about the alarm horn that I removed? I have an aftermarket alarm so I didn't need it anymore.

That thing is a horn? Looked like some electrical box of sorts. The thing that's not in your pic on the strut tower. Here's vollys car for example.
