hey

im gonna make my own custom eyelids with a vinyl material. my question is will heat from the headlights cause the sticky part of the vinyl to become all gooey and cause the sticky part to run? and will i beable to takie it off my headlight if i decide i dont liek it or will it leave a residue?

no, i have had the chrome sticker on my car for the longest time and i used to have vinyl eyelids on my last car and i had no problems. Just make seure that you get good vinyl for automotive or outside purposes so that the heat from the summer sun doesnt bubble it up. Also even if it gets bubbled up it doesnt leave heavy residue, it usually comes right off. Hope this helps.

 

You could always paint them on...saw it on a crx where i think he used a magic marker to do it.

 

what kind of matrial is the chrome sticker? im planning on going to my local car graphics shop and buying a couple feet of vinly.

bigman u have any pics of what your eyelids look like? and how much do they affect the beam of light coming out of the headlights?

I have custom eyebrows (dont know if you want these) and I just went to the local car graphics store and bought a few feet of vynil sticker. It works really good but since the way my car was parked at my house the sun hit the right side everyday and it started to get brown and looked bad. I peeled most of it off but just redid it. It's pretty easy to do. I have a CL btw.



Its ontop of the headlight.
