curious. does this help tranny at all..
so, im always pretty precarious about how my trans performs these days, especially since mines only rebuilt not reman'd. so i do the stupidest things. say i need to back up. i throw my car in neutral & push it manually, or say im in a parking spot on a slanted area. so i throw it in neutral & let it roll slowly.
is there any sense in doing this or is it just playin f'in stupid to even think it could POSSIBLY even help prolong any part of my tranny? i know reverse isn't the main issue with most of our problems, but it's the little stuff like this that i've convinced myself to believe might help the tiniest bit.

I don't think it would help anything, but it wouldn't hurt doing so neither. I think, having the gear shifted to D from N is better than having it shifted from R to D when the car is not completely stopped.

no need for that,,simply make sure the car is completely stopped before changing from R to D, or any change thru the gears like that- the trans is not made to absorb your bad skills
rebuilt vs reman--what do you think that means?
where did you get the trans- acura warranty? thats got a `new` case (might be `used` but of the post 2005 design change) and has the oil jet kit moved internal
soft `wearout` parts, clutch disc (our failure point) are replaced, and hard parts- gears and shafts- are tested and if in spec get reused
a rebuild by a local shop will have all those same things- but uses your original case with its lower oil flow issues.
They use what hard parts are good and replace the soft parts with the newest upgrades available- the clutches are now made better

best thing for your trans lifespan will be a 3 qt drain and refill every year,,
or since its recently rebuilt--that counts as new--you can do a 3x3 every year or go to a better trans fluid like redline,
but still have to keep on the changes to let out crud that forms as part of the operating process

pretty much what you explained. rebuilt == gonna fail again most likely sooner than a reman since it still has that case design flaw. remanufactured == fixed design & less likely to have problems near as quick as orig/rebuilt ones
