Hey guys whats up, so anyways I was on my way to Atlantic City the other night, and got on the Garden State Parkway and since it was like 60+ miles on it, I decided to set my cruise control on 70 mph.
The problem is, I push the cruise control button, it lights up, and now I push the SET button on my steering wheel, and on the speedometer, the CRUISE light flashes a couple of times and goes off, so it never engages into cruise control.
Anyone have any idea why? Anyone know how to fix this?
Also, here's something that has absolutly nothing to do with this, but just didn't wanna make a new thread on it, so I'm just gonna ask here, I need new battery terminal cables. Where do I go about buying them, and what kind do I need?
I've been having a problem where I always get acid around the connectors where the cables connect to the battery, so I bought a brand new Optima Red Top, and even though Optima batteries dont use acid, I still noticed a bit of acid around the connectors, so thats why I'd like to change my cables, any help?

you need the alternator tested for actual voltage output
They can do it for free at the local parts store- same place can sell the correct length new cables to you
Get the fiber/fabric battery terminal protectors, $1 they go on before the cable on the battery-
Clean the ground wire connection with sandpaper to make shiny bare metal, and on the cables end too- bare metal to bare metal bolted together
Coat the battery terminals with either real spray on protector, or vaseline works good too
