Ok ive been getting this clicking/creeking noise for about 6 months now when im backing up with the wheel cranked to the right (ex. pulling out of parking space into lane) a few months back the dealer said it was the sway bar bushings. They replaced those and it still did it.. This time I went back and left them the car for 3 days and they found the problem. It was the lower control arm and rear engine beam.. said something about a cold weld, i don't know. So they replaced those parts and no more noise.. Also they found a trans. fluid leak comming from the linear solenoid which is above the trans. case.. Replaced that also, so im hoping thats it for a while.

 

I sometimes get a whirring/buzzing noise coming from under the hood when I'm backing up in the morning but I heard that was something to do with the ABS?!?!

 

You know what, now that you mentioned it, I have heard that noise on my car before. Its like a tick tick coming from the front when I am backing up and turning right from my driveway. How weird is that.. Its not to bad so I'll live with it.

Yup, that buzzing noise is the ABS doing a self test.

 

Black TL that is what i had... Also have the 99 TL maybe it was a problem on a few of them.. Mine started out soft and got worse over about a 6 month period.. Next time your at the dealer have them check it out. My car seems to ride and handle alot better now that its fixed. Maybe its just my imagination , donno

 

So jealous of you blazin because you got your prob fixed. I brought in my car 3 times and the dealer still couldn't fix a loud and annoying ticking noise from the back.
