Unhappy Crashed the TL

A couple of days my bro crashed our TL. Tha damage to the underbody and front left corrner is rather bad. I hope they write the car off, that way there is a chance of getting a new one once the insurance comes through. But, if they end up fixing it the car will most likely never be the same. Has anyone had any experiance with such an issue......i.e. getting into an accident, and then having the car fixed? Was it as good as ever, or never quite the same.....I will try to post some pictures if I can.

Thanks.

it depends how bad the accident was to tell how easily it will be fixed...if there is frame damage, then you might as well say f* it...my past experiences with my accidents were all front end...and that my friend can never be the same...i twirked my frame twice, thats why I sold my car and got a new one...never drove the same...Shyne

I bent the frame on my first car. After that it had all kinds of mechanical problems. It seems thats cars don't like to be "shocked" like that. If you just crumpled some sheet metal you may be okay.

hey, it might be alright, i have a 2001 TL, i bought it wrecked i the front, it was bad enough to pop the airbags, i bought the car fixed for $16.5, it only had 3000k miles on it too, its been 3000miles since i got it and there hasn't been any problems, except the brakes being warped but its a defect on all TLs and acura fixed under warrenty. like droopstr says...check the engine bay and also make sure the computer is alright...if all goes well, i wouldn't worry bout it too, much, if insurance takes the car away, let me know, i'll buy some parts from you, if you have upgrades...

I had to get all new right front suspension parts, steering, and a **** load of other stuff but it rides like new cant tell that is was in a wreck and it only took the shop 2 and a half months to fix. Well i got all new right front parts the only thing still factory there is the brake cailaper even the rim and disk got messed up.

My sis crashed her 528 on 17, not as good as it was before the crash. Lots of noise and all. But it was a pretty serious crash so i dunno. Hope it all works out ok

Sorry to hear about the accident. And after any accident, no matter how bad, the car is never the same. I hope things work out for you.
