Covering Front Bumper

Hi guys,

I'm about to go to Toronto this weekend...it's about a 4 hour drive. My question is...has anyone ever tried to cover their front bumper with "saran wrap" (is that how you spell it?) to protect it from small stones and bugs?

What I'm worried about is that the plastic might melt onto my bumper. I'm a little anal right now 'cause I just got my front bumper and lip repainted 2 days ago.

Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I can't see how Saran Wrap will protect it from stone chips. Bugs, yes. But stone chips, no.

You might have to fork out some bills to and get a nose mask from the dealer or this web sight. I don't think they can deliver in that short a time though.

saran wrap is so thin that its not going to do anything but look silly flapping around in the wind. Probably wont stick to your paint.

I've used it before...just wet the paint before you apply the wrap. I will stay on but may fray on the edges...overall it will keep the majority of the mess off the paint....plus it easy to remove.
