I know Acura has periodic scheduled maintenance.
Does anyone know what the total cost of Acura's maintenance is?

Here is the way I have been charged while maintaining my Acura 3.2TL....22 dollars for the oil change at 3750 miles....80 dollars for the oil change/tire rotation/inspections/fluid top-offs at 7500 miles....22 dollars for the oil change at 10500 miles.....basically, the 3000 mile oil changes are really not needed (nor are they "required" maintenance as per the manual)....but I generally do it, since I feel better about doing those oil changes.....

I read in the previous post about your planning on opting for a stripped BMW 330i with sport package. If you go for the Bimmer, you can save essentially 3 oil changes (scheduled maintenance at 10,000 mile intervals) with other inspections as part of the oil change, during the warranty period...if you go for the 3000 mile oil changes with the BMW 330i, it will cost you extra, since they are not part of the "free" scheduled maintenance....not counting other "non-scheduled" visits...

At the dealer where I took my TL-S test drive, they had a sheet for scheduled maintenance at their location:

3,750 miles 23.45 oil change
7,500 miles 88.25 oil change, inspection
11,250 miles 23.45 oil change
15,000 miles 155.00 oil change, major inspection (too detailed to list)

Works out to about $290.15 for 1st year maintenance. Not too bad for a luxury dealership.

 

This 3750mile oil change is NOT MANDATORY nor recommended by Acura in the 3.2TL owner's manual....but dealers, maybe to pad their pockets, "recommend" that you do these 3000 mile oil changes....I personally have done these 3000mile/3month oil changes for all my cars and none of them have ever given even a whisper of a problem....of course, my front windshield had developed a crack from a rock that struck it on the highway (if that can be called a "problem")....the only oil changes recommended by Acura are the 7500 mile oil change and the 15000 mile oil change...in both of these, they do a lot of inspections and tire rotation etc.
