Coolant reservoir

Should my reservoir be between MAX and MIN when engine is cold even though I had it at the full mark? I've been using the heater recently since the temperature drop.

This used to happen on my mom's Camry but no overheating and I kinda see it on my TL but still no overheating either.. Whiich leaves me wondering if my radiator cap is going.

I topped off the radiator and the reservoir and checked for leaks since i recently changed my radiator. and everything is fine... I'm just puzzled why it is not a MAX all the time when cold.

Does using the hear cause this? I'm 100% sure I don't have a leak...

It should be between the min and max at all times. Close to the min when cold and close to the max when hot.
