Confronted a door dinger
I just confronted a door dinger. I have a full view of my parking lot and happened to be looking out the window when some ******* parked as close to me as he possibly could and wham, not once, not twice, but three times opened his door and banged mine. Maybe he doesn’t like the look of my TL.:flamer:
So I rushed out to confront him, and amazingly some woman was already yelling at him, calling him, well a few choice words we can leave to our imagination. Apparently he boxed her in a few days ago and she was pissed about that.:wow:
So, I really give this guy the business, and he was just indifferent about it. “Sorry, dude,” “Oh well, dude” Do yo believe that! Akkkkkkkkk! By the way, he was driving a POS.
Luckily there is no damage, but I’m still pissed! What a detestable SOB!
Just had to vent some more. What would you have done?

take care of this ignorant POS
You worked hard to have your car and even if you are one of those on this board who were blessed enough to have it at a younger age, someone did indeed work hard at one point for that car.........so don't let some ignorant POS get away with doing this, and its clear he does it to anyone.
I give you TONS of credit for going out there and confronting him.
Did you move your car then or what?
Maybe this guy needs to think about these things that he's done, a could opportunity for him to think about it would be while he's waiting for a tow truck cause someone sugared his @#$%#$ gas tank.
Seriously, its sad that our top 2 threads at this moment are about people disrespecting other people's property. I know a car is just a car, nothing that affects our greater meaning in life, but its the principle of the matter here folks.
Anyways, glad to hear what you did.

WOW you have patience!!!! My friend had that happen, the guy cursed at him and said "oh well" and left. So after he left my friend kicked a HUGE dent in his door and left....I know it is wrong, but some people have to learn the hard way. This was about a year ago and nothing ever stemmed from it!! Everyone MUST respect others property!!!!

I know what your feeling man..... i've had my TLS for almost 2 years and not a scratch.... or ding on it...... then it happened. Some retarded F**k hits the car with his shopping cart. I parked way the hell out in the boonies just to avoid suck morons.... I felt sick... :yack:
I wanted to kill that sob.

Wow! You showed a lot of restraint there. My blood would be boiling if someone did that to my car! I might have to have some revenge, but I figure Karma will take care of the a-hole. Karma can be a *****!!!

He may have a POS but it is a ***** not to be able to jack up your car and have it steady. If you know he's a local, you may want to wait for rain before you do it. . .

If he did do damage, what you could do is take down his plates wait till he leaves and then file a hit and run ... That would really make his day
Damaging this guy's car probably doesn't matter since the guy's car already is a piece of junk.
Props to you for confronting the guy, and handling it well ... I don't know if I would have handled it quite so well!
I've been lucky so far *crosses fingers* with my car at work, but I would seriously be pissed if I came out to a nice big door ding on my car!!!

Someone on a forum once said they would stick a toothpick in the keyholes on the doors and break it off inside. That way you don't really damage the persons car but you get some revenge. If it's some old pos w/o remote opener you're set.

If you see someone ding your ride or their car is resting against yours, which is what happened to me when I came out of a store, you should
immediately confront the person as calmly as possible. If the other party does not cooperate or is not present, then write down the license plate number and immediately call the police. If the other person takes off, that's a hit and run (at least in California). If he/she walks away, try to find out where he/she went and tell the police officer. When I saw the other car resting against mine, the police officer and I waited a few minutes for the other person to come out of the store. When she didn't, the officer had me pull my car forward a few inches and examined the paint scratches to ensure that they matched the collision point. Then, he ran down the plate number of the other car and gave me the person's name, address, insurance info, etc. After I received the police report, I filed a claim with her insurance company and received $300 for 2 little scratches on the rear bumper. A body shop did a nice job buffing it out for $40.
Bottom line- if someone dings your ride and the police can match their door edge up to your dent, then you may have a solid case with the other party's insurance co. The key is to get a police officer to the scene before the person drives away.

That might very well "make his day" but I dunno that it would be prudent to do so...filing a false police report is a misdemeanor, and in this particular case doing so wouldn't hold water anyway since he apparently didn't mention anything about the other guy just taking off--he did say that he went out to confront the other guy, so it doesn't really sound like a hit-and-run to me.

Man, you're so lucky. I don't know where you are from, but in Chicago, the cops could care less since it's not an emergency. Just last week, I was in a parking lot resting in the car since I'm waiting for my friend. This lady opened her door to get into her minivan (damn soccer moms!). With no regards for my car next to her, she just swung her van door all the way out and WHAM! Since my car is tinted, she didn't think I was in there. I immediately jumped out. You should've seen her expression. I think she almost pissed in her pants. Anyways, she started apologizing and tried to use her scarf to wipe the area (she even used her saliva to clean the paint). I wanted to call the cops and at least have her pay for the damage since she keeps saying she won't pay. She had those rubber guard on the edge of the door, so there was so scratch, but caused a very noticeable dent. I know the cops here won't do anything since nobody is hurt. I pretty much just bit the bullet and got back into the car.

It sucks so bad that people have no regard for other people's property. Gotta start making them pay to learn their lesson, then maybe they'll be more careful when they open their doors.

Two months ago I was at an intersection and some F*^@k was standing on the middle of the stree. I told him to move. He got all pissed and started kickin my driver side door!!! I got out and beat the crap out of him!!! IT felt good but not worth the day in jail and court appearances. Luckily I got away with a misdemeanor.

this talk of confronting dingers reminds me of a story...
many years back, i was at the beach, returning to my car in the parking lot, and some old dude is reading the paper in his car, with his door wide open and up against my door. I'm like WTF DUDE your cratchinng my car wit your F'n door!! & start yelling at him, he gets out & closes his door and starts saying he didn't do anything, my gf starts complaining to me to just leave b/c I'm about to punch the guy...... The stupid f'er had his keys on his ignition and window down, so when we walked around to the other side of his car, and while my gf wasn't looking I took his keys. When we left the parking lot on the way out I stoped by the booth and said I found these keys, don't know who they belong to...........
it's a huge parking lot with 8 different sections.... I hope it took him all day to get his keys back.

Seriously, it does suck when you realize your car doesn't mean sh!t to the next person, because no matter what it is, it isn't THEIRS. Some have been raised to respect others' property, but the rest are clueless.
Them ya gotta fVck!
