Computer chip

I was wondering if anyone has put a performance chip in their TL-S? How much did you pay for it and was it worth the money? Does it impact the warranty at all?

Thanks

Currently there's no chip, however, I believe that AEM was working on a piggyback device for our car. If you do a search on AEM, you should find some info on it....

Acura has pretty much sucked the marrow out of the 3.2 litre engine by pushing the envelope on the most hp they can safely get out of the engine.

Drew said a guy here in Tallahassee with an ABP TLS has a Jet Chip installed, its for an 88-02 Honda/Acura but somehow has modified with some type of VForce adaptor to work with his car. I would be interested in seeing how it's working out for him. Maybe Drew can let us know if he's lurking the site.

There is a chip.. THey have it for a Auto TL/CL type S. If you check www.acura-cl.com there is a bunch of stuff on it. I think it was going for $700.

Right now its not a plug and play version so you would have to do some cutting and wiring.

Here is the link.. Tons of info in it.. http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...hreadid=117096

i thought you guys would be done with this. every month, without fail, someone will ask about a 20 dollar chip that adds 100 hp

if you wanna spend 30 dollars on a piece of junk that's supposed to add 100 hp that the entire automotive industry cant come up with. do it. afterwards buy a rope and turn it into a noose

Unichip will help little bit if you have all the common mods on (CAI, header, exhaust, TB, pulley, etc..) but the price is way more than the gain, so....
