Is it just me or does the range come nowhere near 1.5 miles on our Compustar SS alarms????? I live in the tri state area and even in long island or new jersey if I go further than two blocks and go around a corner the pager doesn't connect to the car. Is there something I'm missing or better yet anything out there that could integrate into the alarm to increase the range to what the manufacturer says it is?????

 

well that range is due to line of sight, get a signal booster.

 

care to elaborate ..... where I can purchase one how I install, etc .....

 

the range specified is the max range...so its like when ur parked in an open area, and there is nothin between u and the car. any buildings, walls, interfering signals wutever will reduce the range...its like ur cingular cell phone...it doesn't reallie work anywhere
