Comptech sway bars and springs make a difference?

For those of you who have performed this mod, did it make a noticable difference?

My 2003 TL-S seems to handle pretty well. Would the upgrade be worth the $$$ ??

Thanks.

I plan on getting the cusco front upper and lower bars. I don't know if they make one for the lower rear.

I am getting the Cusco front and front lower...Cusco does not make the rear sway. The CT sways are definitely worth it. Everyone who has them has nothing but good things to say. Keep in mind that it would be good to upgrade the tires to some max performance tires also.

CT sways are an excellent mod... I recommend that this mod has to be done with new tires 235/45/17 or 235/40/18 on light weight 18" rims

You must be slow of learning. This is the 4th thread you've mentioned "a planned purchased of" cusco tie bars when the topic specifically stated opinions on springs/sways. Get it right...STRUT BARS/TIE BARS are NOT SWAY BARS!

Go to the local meet and I'll point out the difference.

(FYI: do a search on username: snapple & keyword: cusco and you'll know what I mean)

P.S.

Here is an example thread.

Well, I only have springs (H&R Sports) and tires/rims and I can tell you that the car handles like it's on rails. I can't wait to throw in some sways next year. OMG... it's gonna really handle like an arrow....

Where and how much were your H&R Sport springs?
Self-install? Or Pro?
Does it void warranty? Mine's a lease, and I want to put it all back when I turn it in.

I had only H&R sports springs for awhile and it rode great. Some people complain that it's too harsh but I think it's just fine. I just got comptech sways put on a couple weeks back and it drives even better. It definitely makes a difference in the turns. It's a nice complement to the springs.

AegeanTypeS - I got the springs from a friend... but they're not expensive retail... this site sells them for $170. Install was $200, but you're in Florida where you probably have a better selection of shops. You can probably get it done for around $100-$150 or so.

No mod voids your warranty.. so you'll be OK ( http://www.acura-tl.com/faq.htm#8 ). Just keep in mind that to put the stock springs back on you'll have to pay for another install.....

juniorbean, doesnt springs put more pressure on the shocks, and decrease their life drastically? i am sure the dealer wouldnt be excited about that one.

Put springs and sways on and don't look back. You will not regret it a day in your life. Yes, you may have to replace shocks down the road, but live for today!!!! I love mine.

I do know the difference the between a sway and a strut bar/tie bar. Thank you for demonstrating your ability to read a post first before responding. I was answering Snapple's question (more or less) about cusco about whether or not "they make one for the lower rear." Then I go on to say about how "the CT sways are definitely worth it." I know I post alot about it, but I kinda want to see if there is any interest so that blxmjx will decide on setting up a groupbuy or not.

It's so ironic that you say this when I was specifically quoting Snapple and responding to him and not you. This is my point exactly...some people just DONT READ!

BTW...we are probably going to see each other in person during the next bay area meet (in 3 days) so I'd like to keep the internet arguments as minimal as possible. So...I'll take that statement as a compliment since I DO read posts VERY carefully before I post. I just wish others would do the same to save time and BW.

Well I must have made a mistake to assume to were talking to me...I'm sorry...it just sounded like it was directed to me. And just cause we argue on the internet doesn't mean that we can't be friends. Everyone has opinions and not everyone will always agree with each other.

Hmmm...no sad wave smiley. Bah! Well guess what...Denise (ahem...my "lady friend") asked about you. Guess that's 1 less person she can hang out with at the meet.

P.S.

peiqinglong: I agree...it's just that peeps can get so emotional over the internet so I'm just trying to be safe (insert paranoid smiley here). Besides...we haven't disagreed about anything yet...only miscommunication. :p
