Really? This sounds real nice. That puts the supercharger into a reasonable price range. I'm curious now too. Any info anyone?

That is actually hard to believe.
Comptech has generally been "not cheap"!
There was ALOT of R&D involved with their Accord V6/TL/Cl SC. I doubt that they can get their $$$ back with such a low price.
But if that price is for real, then hey, that's AWESOME!
If I remember on Monday, I'll try to give Shad or Bob a call and at least get a ballpark figure.

Hmmm, if I could save $2500 USD on this SC, I will be on the first plane down there on open house day

The optimist in me: hoping it is true

I don't think they would do that since it is showing favoritism to their clients in their home state. Why not offer it to everyone online at that price that day? I doubt they are doing that and where did you hear of this?

Hey Sugar! Nice to see you post! How's your headers on your CL doing (you do own a CL right)? Any more mods to your CL since we last met last year? Hope to see ya in our next meet!

The eaton core units cost almost that much so I doubt they can offer it at that low price. No need to feel defensive. We would like to know where you heard of such a thing. I have contacted comptech and am asking them now. If thats the case Ill fly my a$$ there and buy one still saving thousands.

They might do it as a marketing ploy to get people to try it out and tell their friends, who will be willing to drop a few K more if they can see the benefits...besides, selling discounted for one day isn't going to bankrupt them...pretty clever idea actually...word of mouth is a great selling tool...

Yup yup...CL-S here.

Well, I did buy the CT SS brake lines. But, I'm not going to put them on until I decide on an exhaust. I'm waiting for the CL-specific GReddy EVO exhaust...if it ever comes out. If not, I'll either custom fit the AV6 EVO or just settle for the Comptech.

Yeah, it's been such a long time since the last meet...itching badly for one

Here is what comptech responed to my inquiry about the open house and pricing

I know that we are planning on hosting an open house to debut the supercharger kit but the date isn't set yet. But I haven't heard anything about special pricing.

Here's an Idea

Maybe someone from this web site can call Comtech, see if we can get a discount on a first-run-order of 50-100 Superchargers.

Comtech would get some up-front money, and we would save some money by buying in bulk. Can't hurt to try.
