Comptech springs w/ 18's

Below are some pics of my wifes Type S lowered with Comptech springs and stock shocks with some 18's. I would like to lower the car about another inch. Any recommendations?

Below are some pics.

The first is what the car looks like with the Comptechs.

The second is photoshop number 1

The third is photoshop number 2

The fourth is photoshop number 3

Of the three photshop pics which pic do you like the best and what springs will get that look?

I personally like Photoshop #2.

Thanks,

MikeC

Forgive my ignorance, but what wheel/tire combo are you using?

Put a kit and 19s and leave the comptech drop. Our wheel wells are huge. I personally like bigger rims on our cars.

Did you just lower your car within the last week or so? If so, those Comptechs will settle some.
I have 18's and the Comptechs and I honestly wouldn't dream lowering it any more. Ingress/egress of certain driveway and curbs still make it scrape here and there and soome speedbumps are tight with passengers. If you are using this car for hauling people, stuff, wife, etc, might wanna rethink that...

Mine looks even lower than yours (even with the wheel illusion going on)...

I'm with copland007, I think if you put a kit on the first photo without a number it's going to look hot. Photo #1 would look even hotter with the kit but I could definitely you see having the front lip repainted frequently.

if you want to go a little lower, but maintain ride quality i'd say go with h&r sport. If you want to tuck the wheels got with eibachs or h&r race. But at that point your camber will be very off

copland007: Thanks...

Big Rubber: The wheels are 18x7.5 with 225x40x18's

Mr : I would like to go with 19's, but its my wifes car.

r10apple: I have had the Comptechs on for about 6 months, so they should be settled by now. Yeah, your car does look lower, are you riding on stock shocks?

Type S Lady: Thanks...

bigman: Thanks...

I haven't check, but is there a company that makes a camber kit for our cars, like Ingalls?

Thanks again for all the replies...

I agree, pic #1 with body kit!!! The other pics are just too low for me. Just my opinion of course.

paultl: The wheels are TMW (Techno Motor Works wheels made by Enkei in Japan). They are 18x7.5 with a +48 offset. I bought them on eBay for $425.00 with tires (225x40x18's Pirelli SuperSports). I sold the tires, bought new Falken GRB's and had the wheels trued and re-finished.

Moo: Thanks...

Maybe my car is sitting on un-even pavement, which is why it does not look lowered!?!?!?

If you upgrade your stock shocks to KONI ADJ, just set the shocks to its lowest perch, which should drop the car an add'l 20mm(about 3/4"). That should put you close to the ride height you want. If you decide to go the H&R Sport springs route, I'm calling dibs on your Comptech Springs! Just don't forget to label the springs (if you haven't already). Let us know what you decide...

DOLEFEE: You just answered my next question. I was wondering if Koni made a shock for the Type S that has adjustable spring perch, like they do for the Legends. I will probably go with the Koni's when its time to replace the stock shocks. Which means I agree with your conclusion, by adjusting the perch to the lowest setting it should give me the drop I am looking for.

Thanks,

MikeC
