Comptech Spring Load / Rate
What's the difference between spring load and spring rate? I just got my Comptech springs and according to the instructions, the springs with the higher rate goes to the left side. Here's the specs for each spring.
Front
Load 1312.7 @ 7.60 In.Ht.
Rate 261.2 Lbs./In.
Load 1309.1 @ 7.60 In.Ht.
Rate 262.3 Lbs./In.
Rear
Load 616.8 @ 9.38 In.Ht.
Rate 193.1 Lbs./In.
Load 638.1 @ 9.38 In.Ht.
Rate 197.8 Lbs./In.
What is the unit of measure for the spring load (eg. in.ht)? The rear springs make sense (load correlates to rate) but the front springs is somewhat opposite. The spring with the higher rate has a lower load than the other spring. Has anyone else noticed this on their springs?
