Comptech IceBox

Would a 6 sp Icebox fit in a TL Type S?

If it doesn't fit what can I do to make it fit?

No it would not. The TL-S has the VSA throttle prior to the TB. The CL-S6 has no VSA so there is a longer run between the box and the throttle.

Could you make it fit, certainly but I am unaware how to as my Icebox feeds my blower.

I guess what I was trying to stress was that the 6-Speed could fit but would require changes. More than likely it would need to be cut shorter. But I have to ask why you would want to look at this since there is an IceBox available for the TL-S??

The questionable part is where did they put the vacuum line ports. If they are close to the TB you would need to fashion your own or use vent filters. That would allow you to cut off the excess.

Do you have access to it to do a quick and rough test fit??

The Icebox will fit. The only thing that will not fit is the tube to the throttle body is shorter. I asked him if I could cut it. He said that would work but he doesn't recommend it. There is a kit you can buy for $60 to make the change from 6sp to auto...
