Are Comptech Headers Worth It?!?!?
Are Comptech Headers Worth It?!?!?
Everywhere u read about comptech headers for the type-s, theres the dyno that shows the 30hp increase....would they really add 30hp to the wheels??? cuz im about to spend about 1300 on my next mod and i was wondering if i should go with the headers... thanks

if i were you, i'd get sways first, then decide whether to get headers or not.
i got the sways, headers, and cai (on cl-s). the sways are pretty much used everytime i drive (i personally think it makes the most difference). the headers and cai, i wanted just to know that i have that extra performance when i need it, even though i rarely push the car that hard.
but it's a money thing. i don't think the "value" of the headers is good compared to other stuff because the gains are so high in the rpm range, so it would be something i'd wait on until all the less expensive thigns are out of the way (i see you have springs and cai already...so all you need are sways).
but in the end, it's your money and your call whether you feel they are worth it or not, because $1300 to one guy may be more useful in his pocket (or bank account) than $1300 under his car hood, and to another guy, it could be just the opposite.

I have all 4 Comptech mods, and I can honestly say they make the car AMAZING to drive. I have to pinch myself everytime I blast onto the highway on the uphill entrance ramp I take to work.
I would have to say that the springs and sways would give the most "bang for buck" value, as the car handles incredibly well when they are installed. I am not really sure if the exaust really does anything except sound and look impressive, and the headers provide a pronounced difference in hard acceleration.
I would go for the springs & sways, since you already have a CAI, then do the headers last.
Just my opinion..........

I didn't notice a lot of difference with the headers.
I'd agree with the above in the order I would get them if you want noticeable impact for your money. I did springs first then sways, Mr. Hyde did sways then springs - either way we had the same opinion -
1st Sways, then springs
I would do headers after that.
