Smile Comptech headers on the way

Well went for it, after looking at all the feed back on the comptech headers, decided to go ahead & order. shopped around on the net & the best price i could find was $1099.00, just wondering if that is a good price, or did i get ripped. gonna be brave & try the install myself. also after looking @ the header install info in the library. this guy was talkingabout flameproof coating to be applied to the inside of the header to keep the outside from discoloring. sounds like a good thing to do b4 the install. if anyone is interested the web site is www.vhtpaint.com, used by NASA. i'm excited can i have some comptech stories? did the installs go easy? any pointers?....thanks in advance:

Wow...thanks for the heads up on the group buy!

I've been torn trying to decide whether to replace my loud a$$, resonating OBX headers or not, and the $975 shipped is good reason to take the Comptech plunge.

I should have just not been cheap and got comptech in the first place. Sure learned my lesson!

Yea, I'm pretty sure I did.

I'm in Houston, TX (central time), and I used paypal at 11:30 pm or so.

I double-checked my paypal balance right after I submitted my buy, and it said $974.99.
