Yes, they are back. I believe the employees bought out the company. Unfortunately, their website is still down.

A lot of people switch to the K&N style filter instead of the comptech foam filter. I'm not sure of the part number but if you do a search it's on here somewhere.

Is the icebox a safer alternative to most cold air intakes as far as sucking water into the engine?

so is that the main concern when ordering an icebox vs. a standard filter on a stick?

how often do tl's get hydrolocked just driving in normal conditions, ie. occasional rains, not swimming...

not often at all you pretty much have to be up to filter in standing water

The bypass valve will allow the intake to still suck in air if the filter is submerged underwater. I personally don't like the way the look so I decided not to put one on my Injen CAI, but it's kinda common sense...just don't drive through water that deep. And as a last resort, you can always disconnect the piping from the throttle body. I'd rather suck in dirty air than water.

I don't know if it really helps or not but I got that hyrdoshiled thingy for my Injen intake. its supposed to repel water as long as you don't drive through deep puddles it should be fine. Plus the hydroshield is a little more filter which everyone could use.
