Comptech Exhaust!

I got them installed tonight and these things are bad a$$! The sound is just............oooh...especially with the CAI! Only thing is the right side hangs a little higher than the left..Is there something I can do to fix this?

try to find rubber hangers (shorter/longer depending on the side you are trying to correct) to fix that problem...last resort would be to reweld the hangers on the muffler. they are available at most auto parts store.

Evo:

You could also bend up the hanger supports. Exhaust alignment varies from car to car a far amount, although we all are much more sensitive to this than "normal" people. My stock system protrudes out farther on the left than the right when viewing from above. I just forgot about it.

Huh? They feel smooth - what does an exhaust have to do with handling? Do you by any chance mean the springs?

I don't have many pics because I don't have memory to take pics on my digi cam, but if you do a search for Injen CAI pics you will see the "droppage" not much of it, but it sure as hell looks better and never ever have I ever scraped any part of the body because of it. The handling is way better and no "dive" while breaking. Get it!

Yea I meant the drop, but I would have liked to see tha exhaust too...And if I was the opposite of low, would it really matter...The exhaust has nothing to do with tha droppage I just wanted to see both...Shyne

Oh yeah, oh yeah! Can't wait to get my new springs!!!

Also, congrats on the Exhaust. I've since removed, and sold my Comptech's. Little too loud for my tastes, but to each his/her own!

If anyone wants to see Comptech exhaust on a CLS, just take a gander at my site.

Jim
