I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem I have when you start your car in the morn when its really cold out. If I start the car right away and put in in Reverse the car jecks really hard but if I let it warm up it doesnt do it. I was just wondering if this was normal or do I have a problem. Thanks for all help

Mine did this once with the new tranny. Only on a REALLY cold morning when I was in a hurry and didn't give it any time (not even 30 secs) to prepare.

ive heard stories of other people having the same problem but not exactly sure if its normal or if its just a early warning sign that your tranny is about to bite the dust

Yeah ive read forums about them. I had the car service on when they had that recall on it. Its not like they gave me a new tranny but they said it should be fine. Is there anything else that I should know about? Did you go out and get a new one or did acura switch you out a new one?

just oem body kit, window tinted, now it time to get some mods for the engine. Thinking about UR pulley and comptech exhaust, downpipe and and header. But if they are going to blame it on that when the tranny goes then i dont know.

When start engine in cold weather or not the fast idle speed of the car rev
the car to 1250 or 1500 rpm to help warm up the car ( like the old choke)
The more the engine get warm the lower the RPM will drop until 750rpm
idling speed.... So if you shift at a hi-rpm all car will jecks
The best way is to let the car warm up or if you have to go right a way just
step a bit on the gas pedal the rpm should drop to 1000rpm then shift and go

in the morning (when its butt-cold), when I shift to reverse, and back to drive, it feels like squishy, i don't how else to describe it, but it shifts with more resistance like if the car was like brand new or something. does any1 else experience this?

I have an 06 for about 2 months now, and it does the same thing if i don't give it a minute to warm up. After that, its fine. This is in 45-50 degree mornings.

It's normal in order to function correctly that all fluid and oil need to warm up to a
reasonable temp. If you rest in a area like me Montreal Canada ( winter -25oC)
then it take 5-10 min to warm up all fluid and engine oil
I remember reading something about BMW 02 M3 that the engine oil has to be
warm up minimum 10 min. or it only output 50% of it horsepowers !!!!

I have Comptech Headers and an Intake on mine. The Tranny crapped out @ 64000. I was outside the VIN range but acura still replaced it. They didn't give me a hard time with the mods. Although i would consider how much power you put on the weak tranny. The additional HP & torque may cause it to wear out faster. Could be wrong though.....

:S this happens to me everday, Ot cold up here the temp is usaully around 20-25 in the morning. And yeah the car will have a big jerk from shifitng to R. But i've found a way to solve the problem. When you park your car overnight put the car in neutral and apply the handbrake until the car stops on its on. Then shift into Park, The next morning when you shift you shouldn't feel anything. It works for me.

I do this every time, hot or cold, and the transmission never jerks. This is easiest on the transmission as it puts the strain on the e-brake and not the transmission.
