you wont tell a difference in performance, the only question is if you want the extra sound that the AEM or Injen CAI intakes will give. The Comptech Icebox looks and sounds basically stock, but still gives good gains.

I like the CT IceBox because it looks and sounds like stock (almost). I could reach to the filter pretty easy as well. Oh, and when you turn off the engine, you could hear the ssshhhhhh......... pressure being release.
Just my $0.02.

While we are talking about intakes here, does the CT Icebox function in the same way as the regular stock airbox would? I had a HUGE problem with my AEM CAI (water damage to the engine from water getting sucked up) and since the Icebox is basically the same shape as the stock airbox, I was wondering if you would have to worry about water getting into the engine like you would with an AEM/Injen. Is there still an air filter inside the bumper like there is with the other brands?
This may be a stupid question but if it isn't the same I might have to look into buying a CT Icebox. Thanks in advance.
